Hello, I’m Victoria (though most people call me Tor!) and I'm a Wedding Planner based in Derbyshire
Based in Glossop in the beautiful Peak District, just outside Manchester, I originally hail from Yorkshire.

The photo you see was taken shortly after my husband, Steven, and I exchanged those two magical words, 'I do'. After spending over 18 months meticulously planning our dream country barn wedding, seeing all that hard work come to fruition made it truly the best day of our lives. I strive to ensure that my clients experience the same joy and tranquillity on their wedding day. My goal is for you to relax and fully immerse yourself in celebrating with your loved ones, knowing that every detail is expertly managed.

My friends and family would tell you that I am extremely down to earth, a quality I know people look for in a wedding planner so they can feel at ease when discussing their aspirations for their wedding day. I'm a perfectionist at heart, thrive on organisation and have a meticulous eye for detail. While I can’t predict the weather, I can guarantee that I’ll have a solid backup plan in place to ensure everything runs smoothly.
“There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.”
Why Wedding Planning?
With nearly 15 years of experience in the international corporate events sector, I decided it was time to take the plunge and start my own business in July 2021; something I had long aspired to do.

The wedding industry immediately appealed to me for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, a refreshing change from the often impersonal corporate environments I had previously worked in. I knew that the skills I had honed over the years—ranging from venue finding and budget & delegate management to quick thinking in challenging situations (such as when I navigated the aftermath of a major airline crash during an aviation event I was managing in Malaysia in 2014)—would give me a strong foundation for my transition into wedding planning.

After planning my own dream wedding and assisting family and friends with theirs, I realised how time-consuming and often overwhelming the process can be for some people. The Covid-19 pandemic made navigating the wedding industry even more challenging. You might think it was a bold move to launch a wedding planning business in the midst of a global pandemic, but I was driven by a desire to help couples achieve their dream weddings despite the difficulties.

The supportive and collaborative environment of the wedding industry makes the profession incredibly rewarding, as it enables me to bring joy to clients during one of the most significant milestones of their lives, while also connecting with some fantastic suppliers along the way.

I can also genuinely say that many of my couples have started out as clients but have become friends, making my job even more fulfilling.
What can you expect from me as your Wedding Planner?
I am highly detail-oriented and methodical in my planning process, ensuring that every element, from timelines to supplier management, is meticulously organised. My approach is highly collaborative. I take the time to really listen to my clients, understand their desires, and then translate that into a cohesive plan that ensures every detail is executed flawlessly.
Following an initial complimentary consultation call where we’ll discuss all your plans and ideas, and where you’ll have the opportunity to ask me any questions, I will create a bespoke proposal and quote tailored to your needs. If you choose to proceed with my services (and I certainly hope you will!), we’ll begin working together to plan the celebration of a lifetime!
On your wedding day, you'll find me with my trusty clipboard and wedding day timeline in hand, along with my emergency event kit at the ready—packed with everything you could possibly need (check out my Instagram reel for a peek inside!). With a smile on my face, I will ensure everything runs smoothly, yet I'll be fully prepared to handle any unexpected challenges (such as the time where I managed an overflowing toilet at a remote marquee wedding!).

I thrive on the hustle and bustle of the wedding industry—multitasking is my forte. Being the calm in the midst of chaos is where I excel, and I take great joy in seeing my couples, and their families, truly relax and enjoy their wedding day, creating memories which will last a lifetime.
